Dear Miami Lakes Resident,

My parents and I came to the U.S. from Cuba seeking freedom and opportunity. In 2000, I graduated with a master's degree in social work from Barry University. Since 2001, I have called Miami Lakes home. Since 1995, I have worked for our school system helping our youth choose the right path in life. As a father and a husband, I know the worries we as parents feel for the future and safety of our children. In 2018, Vice Mayor Jeffrey Rodriguez appointed me to the Town's Education Advisory Board. Since then, I have chaired and vice-chaired it for four years. I've also been a founding member of the Town's Mental Health Task Force, contributing to our community's well-being. I want to continue to serve and work for our community. That's why I have decided to run for Miami Lakes Town Council, because helping others and working to improve our community is more than a job for me, it's a calling. I humbly ask for your support in the upcoming special election.
